Overview of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) 

The atrium is a place specially designed and prepared environment for the children to help the relationship between God and the child to flourish. The most important characteristic of the materials are their close link to the Bible and the Liturgy. Every time one enters the atrium, they enter into a personal connection with God. Catechists are formed and certified by the National Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.

At Prince of Peace we have 15 certified catechists and are entering into our 20th year of using the method of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd!

Level I is for ages 3-6, Level II is for ages 6-9, and Level III is for ages 9-12

Sunday

9:00am – 10:15am Level 1, Level 2, Level 3

Monday

10:00 am-Noon     Level 1 , Level 2, Level 3

4:30-6:00 pm        Level 1, Level 2, Level 3

Wednesday

6:00-7:30 pm         Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 

CGS Atria Levels and Size-Limits

Level One (3-6 years old) / 10 children per session

Level Two (6-9 years old) / 12 children per session

Level Three (9-12 years old) / 15 children per session

All CGS sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note, CGS volunteers will receive preferential placement of their own children. Once a session is full, children will be placed on a waiting list. 

Cancellations

Winter weather conditions can create hazardous road travel. The cancellation of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd or any special Children’s Faith Formation events is based on AccuWeather reports and Reeth-Puffer school cancellations.
